In order to give the subject some significant context, I think it would be useful to begin a theme by first discussing its benefit. Then I would run through some simple cases. I have to emphasise that there are no silly questions, anything to help a student's understanding is essential. After I've run through a couple of examples, I want to have the student run through their own example, speaking with me pretending they were the tutor and I was the student.
Lots of researches have revealed that trying to clarify a concept you have just discovered helps greatly in memorisation and also comprehension. If I'm satisfied with their teaching, I 'd like to test their critical thinking by setting a problem based upon whatever discovered in the lesson, but with refined modifications that need the tutee to proactively engage with the work, rather than be on "auto-pilot".
Home assignment will be established on the material discussed (absolutely nothing extra intense), and better lessons will be carried on responding to exam-styled questions prior to carrying on to the next theme.
Throughout sessions I would love to encourage a fairly informal, pleasant atmosphere. I have fun training, as well as I hope students have a good time in my training sessions, as well as a relaxed mind is much better at learning.
